Joe Fontenot, MD, CLVT, Medical Director Dr. Fontenot, a Certified Low Vision Therapist, performs functional vision evaluations and directs individualized rehabilitation plans for patients. A former Cardiologist, he graduated from Louisiana State Medical School and has been working with the blind and visually impaired since 2003.

Cheri Glaus OD (Optometrist) Dr. Glaus performs low vision evaluations and directs the use of optical and electronic aids and rehabilitation care. Dr. Glaus is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Optometry and has been in Optometry practice for 34 years.

Kim Bufalo, R.N., Executive Director Kim Bufalo supervises our daily operations. She is a registered nurse who also has a degree in human resource management, and extensive experience in working with the visually impaired.

Paula McKinnell, Office Manager Paula manages personnel in all of our locations. She has over 40 years of medical field experience and helps navigate patients from the time an appointment is made until seen by one of our physicians. She is truly a patient advocate.
Patricia Hacker, Adaptive Devices and Inventory Patti Hacker is our inventory specialist. She maintains our inventory, helps with selection and demonstration of adaptive equipment, magnifiers and the many aids and devices available to help the blind and visually impaired.
