CONFERENCES & EDUCATION

These programs are free and open to all, but it is best to call and reserve seating as noted in the posters.

EDUCATION

Education of the public, as well as the medical profession, about the impact of vision loss, its increasing frequency and the potential for improvement through the rehabilitative process is one of CSVR's major goals. We have an on-going series of lectures, and are available for talks regarding vision loss at service clubs, support groups, and to any interested organizations. Educational materials are available at our offices. If you are interested in obtaining a speaker for any group or event, please contact us.
Workshops are held regularly at both the Mobile and Fairhope offices. Instructors include Dr Fontenot of CSVR and Mr. Steve Sullivan of the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. Topics include computer basics as well as the basics of computer screen enlarger/reader software. You may contact us for schedule information or to reserve a seat. Seating is limited and reservations are required.
