“R+R: Retina and Rehabilitation”
On Saturday, March 1st, 2008 we will be proudly co-sponsoring, along with the EyeSight Foundation of Alabama. The “R+R” conference will be held at the Marriott Grand Hotel in Point Clear, a full service 4-star resort.

This is a ½ day conference, featuring Cynthia Toth, M.D., of Duke University Eye Center, Dawn DeCarlo, O.D. of University of Alabama at Birmingham and Linda Goodwin, O.T.R. /L. also of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

It is a conference of particular interest to all Ophthalmologists, Retinologists, Optometrists and all professionals dealing with eye disease and its effects. The conference will emphasize all aspects of retinal disease and low vision. All professionals involved in the care of patients with eye disease are invited.

It is approved for 4 hours CME for physicians, and approval is pending for same for Optometrists. ACVREP approval is pending.

Registration prior to or on February 15th is $95; After February 15th or on site-registration is $105; Student and trainees $35. Registration fee includes luncheon during the seminar. Post meeting activities are listed separately and fees may apply.

In-depth discussion of the current status of medical and surgical therapy of retinal diseases, including recent medical treatment, surgery and expected future development. Emphasis will be on common diseases, such as diabetic retinopathy, macular hole and macular degeneration.

12:00 Individual Discussion groups with speakers and panelists and hands on demonstration of adaptive technology and computer screen magnification/reader software. Lunch provided.

Pre and Post-meeting activities

After noon Sail
